The Hard Question...

Let's say for a moment this was all due to Greg and TD(plus outside senior players)

Would you have rather given inflated extensions to the Veterans. I say inflated due to holdout rumors.

Or spread out reasonable contracts to all of our young upcoming players(I.E: Turner, Short).

We have 15 million in cap space. I feel like Gettlemagic could have got both done. Without inflated extensions.

Something tells me this was way more than business and money. This was personal.

But if you had to choose, which would you choose?

This is a business. Going for a Super Bowl trophy not a Participation Trophy. Teams don't have unlimited cap space. Need to spend wisely. No DG not perfect and he could of handled releases much better but he brought this team great success and in great position for the future until his firing.

I will go on record and say I agreed with the Norman decision.  Not so much Smith but it was understandable at least as this needed to be Cam's team to lead.  I would not have agreed with release TD or Olsen however.  DeAngelo I completely agreed with that.

That's why I'm saying, there's something deeper than contracts.

There probably is, but for now with the surprised news we all have to take a clear stance one way or the other. Thats how the internet works nowadays, you cant just be calm and let it play out like the good ole days.

    • just read the thread. I would like to say that the team not being sold to Tepper is an absolute banger of an answer and probably the right one

Initial gut reaction when I first thought of this question is Kasay kicks it in bounds on the kickoff, but unfortunately I still think New England wins that game even with that My second instinct was pulling Bene out before he breaks his leg in the playoffs. My crackpot theory is if he never gets hurt we win the superbowl. I refuse to go back and watch the game but at some point Peyton throw an absolute duck that should have been pick 6'd. but because we were on our like fifth outside corner he was slow to the ball. this would have completely flipped that game because I'm pretty sure Denver scored that drive and the next one was the Cam sack fumble
