Yes we do remember the snap count for Shaq & Klein where split  , and no they wouldn't  score 70 . They killed us last year because we where playing 2 much zone , you will see a lot more man coverage

They killed us because Sanchez kept playing out of position and Bene was getting tired (which I still don't think was a valid reason to release him). If anything, an in shape Bene with Worley, Bradberry, Munnerlyn, Williams, and Leonard Johnson would've had our two deep at all corner positions looking nice.

But wouldn't that same logic hold for the regular season?  It seems to me that the coaches don't seem to be too concerned about having another "legit power RB on the roster" at this point.

I mean, if you truly want a "legit power RB" backup, then having your 3rd string pass-catching RB that can't catch passes take his reps seems to be a truly dumb thought process IMO.

Well, we've done plenty of dumb stuff in the past. Maybe the offense really will look totally different and it's not a need. Or maybe we think we can sign a guy off the couch mid-season who is just as good as CAP. Or... maybe Cam is in essence the backup power RB. Really hoping it's not #3.

Yes and you do know we like to keep 3 lbs on the field

TD - Luke - Shaq

what do you not understand about base 4-3 defense

Thee linebackers is not equal to 4-3. Truth be told, we actually play nickel far more than we play 4-3 which is why Wilks said Shaq would be taking reps from Davis.

People have to remember that Matt Kalil barely played at all last year, he's coming off of surgery, and he's on a new team with new coaches and a different way of doing things. It would have been more surprising if he WASN'T a little rusty in that first practice.

plus its just day 3 and first padded practice...

That's cool.

I mean, if CAP gets cut it ain't gonna break my heart.  I've survived Lee Ziemba and Darvin Adams getting cut, I'm sure I'll make it through Cameron Artis-Payne the same.

Though the Panthers come first, I'm still gonna pull for CAP as an individual player wherever he goes.  I would just rather not see him get dicked out of a chance to make it on another team if he doesn't have a damn chance here (and early returns say he doesn't).

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
