I like level-headedness, I mean as a fan there is nothing we can do so why get bent out of shape? Common sense doesnt come in to play here, if it did, it would say be cautiously optimistic at best. But people do believe he is Superman so there is that.

But common sense does come into play.  By paying attention and understanding what is really happening, we can use our common sense to be a little patient.  But too many posters here focus way too much on the simple fact that he's not out there, and as a result freak out and act like the sky is falling.

But there's more to it than that.  For instance, Cam is out there swinging his arms around and dancing around while having fun as usual.  So, common sense tells me that if there was any real concern or physical problem, he would not be acting like that.  He's also been throwing to RV the last few days, so signs are pointing to them getting him ready to get back out there.  Not to mention that just by doing a little research on the injury and listening to those who have had a similar procedure done that soreness was to be expected.  So, with it being so early in camp, it makes sense to be extra careful by holding him out of practice and bringing him along slowly.

And I do agree with the cautiously optimistic approach.  That should be the approach anytime a player is coming off surgery...especially a QB coming off surgery to his throwing shoulder.  I just feel there is too much "the sky is falling" over something that was expected and where signs are pointing to not being that big of a deal...relatively speaking.

He's going to have soreness throughout the season.  It's not clear to me whether the soreness is in the joint, or in the muscles surrounding the joint (probably some of both), but either way, the only way to get rid of the soreness is rest and ice, and unless he sits out for another couple of months, it's going to linger.  It just doesn't go away after a week or two.  The decision to wait to do the surgery, in hindsight, looks absolutely foolish now.  His practice throwing reps during the rest of preseason and the regular season are going to have to be exponentially decreased in order to make sure the pain during games is manageable.

I really wish people would stop saying this. The decision to wait to do surgery is a medical protocol. Plain and simple. Yeah I suppose they could have gotten a knife happy quack that to perform a possibly unnecessary surgery and pray for no complications and lawsuits to appease sports fans, but I would hope an NFL medical team would be a little better than that.

Resting him the last two games would have bumped things up a couple of weeks..but what's done is done.

Trainers, specialist doctors, and physical therapists just need to know how to google these things better.

How do they expect that years of studying anatomy and a lifetime of experience can substitute for scanning Wikipedia?

I will be honest, a week or two ago I was very optimistic about this season but slowly I have been feeling pessimistic.

This offense is starting to worry me in more ways than one.

Cam- Shoulder issue, hasnt thrown in a week now.

DA- Has looked down right terrible in camp, normally I wouldnt be worried about Cam because DA has proven more than capable, but combine the fact Cam hasnt been throwing and DA has looked like garbage could be a recipe for disaster.

Kelvin Benjamin- Aside from a decent catch or two, he has been radio silent this TC and hasnt looked impressive at all, the fact there are rumblings Funchess could become the new WR1 tells you all you need to know about KB.

Curtis Samuel- He was suppose to be our Ginn replacement but he has been a ghost with no end in sight for his hammy issue.

The ONLY silver lining about our offense is our O line hasnt been stinking up the joint and CMC. But besides those two things, I am VERY worried about our offense right now.

I know your a troll account but realize we haven't even played a damn pre-season game, Im not going to worry unless we put up a goose egg in the first half against the jags week 3.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
