Looks like a good design.  Should be mandated.  Of course then you would have a monopoly.  Hmmm?

They are pretty crazy looking in person but if they improve the concussion rates even just a small percentage it's worth implementing them. Lots of companies starting to push for a safer game of football and I think everyone should be on board with that.

A few Texans players wore them last week and I didn't even realize until I read about it after the fact.

This is good for impact to the head and the ringing but no brain is suppose to stop at some of these speeds on a dime. Its not about the outer shell, its about the contents inside. Its like driving 55 mph and hitting a tree, the car may take the impact but the contents inside (the driver and others will be slammed around regardless. The brain is the driver without a seatbelt.

Lol Vicis is literally nothing but flash right now. The only reason people even know about them is because they have flashy videos/website. I mean good on them for getting their name out there but their claim of being the safest helmet is far from concrete with the limited test data so far.

I read somewhere that we were one of the teams that was trying out the new helmet. I guess this might be what they were talking about since the article is from 2016.
