This doesn't seem like a quote from a guy who has an issue with Cam:

"They have an advantage with Cam," Ward said. "He's the quarterback and you can't account for that on defense. They have one more blocker when he runs the ball. If you're going to run your quarterback, you're going to have to take the repercussions that come with it. That's potentially getting him hurt or you see him get hit a couple times today. I'm sure they don't want to start the season off like that."

I mean its possible he would. IMO I don't think he's a big Cam fan. He would most def be a starter here. I just don't see it if he has option.

It's amazing how a new uniform can change your opinion of a guy.  Brett Favre-Vikings/Packers?!

Most important, he's friends with Mike Adams from Cleveland.

Hell, some Seahawks hate each other so bad they literally fist fought the night before the Super Bowl and they've had regular fist fights at practice since.

JNo and Cam fought!!

Yep.  And Babe Ruth was once a Red Sox.  Sports history is filled with infinite examples far more contentious than us and TJ Ward.

Not just that. The Vikings were also a legit QB away from being a legit SB contender. They were basically the equivalent of the current Texans. A team everyone looks at and says, "Damn, if those guys had a QB they'd be hell on wheels."

I mean seriously, just throw a late round draft pick their way. Looks like he's getting cut regardless, so they would take literally anything. Offer SOMETHING. It's not like he's even a huge cap casualty either. It's the perfect low risk/high reward situation. I'm so adamant about this because I feel we would be a LOCK for at least the NFC championship round if we were able to get him.

If they're really planning to release him that must mean there aren't any teams willing to give up any pick at all for him, likely hoping they can just sign him when he hits the market.

If that's the case, why not offer them a 7th rounder for him and avoid the competition of the open market? I suppose it's possible (likely?) he'll sign for less than his current cap number, but for a 1-year rental, is that really THAT big of a deal?

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
