I'm not getting my hopes up or even beginning to think we are out of the woods with Newton and the shoulder, but it sounds like he's had his most active week yet as far as practice goes.

Hopefully it's not the staff pushing him too hard and his shoulder actually is doing better?

Definitely the hope. There's also a third possibility of he is pushing himself too hard and lying that his shoulder is better because he recognizes he has sucked and given his desire to stay on the field at the end of last year wouldn't surprise me.

Yes, that is definitely a possibility as well.

Hopefully he is genuinely feeling better and it isn't the coaching staff feeling their seat heating up.

I don't really know how seriously to take Newton saying his shoulder is fine.

We all know that Newton is the kind of competitor who would say that regardless of whether it was actually fine or not.

If his shoulder is fine and what we see is not a result of that shoulder, then we really do need to be concerned
