Why didn't the refs call delay of game on gano's missed FG?

special teams got out there and missed the snap by at least a full second, if the network clock matched the game clock. throwing the flag as they do countless other times perfectly on time would've negated the miss, setting us up for a 60-yarder or a punt with much better field position.

all's well that ends well but this has bothered me since it happened.

Guarantee you that if Gano made that the flag would have come out....late if necessary.

If I were Rivera, Id file a complain just to show and expose the NFL as cheaters for the teams they want to win.

It should be an easy game to show. Even Addison I believe it was got held so bad while the ref was looking that he fist punched the air in his direction out of frustration. It's so disgusting and dishonest I honestly can't believe "accident's" with the refs don't happen. As a player you could tell who was doing that on purpose and who just missed calls here and there....we all could.

The real reason it doesn't get out is because it affects the money. If it truly got out that the NFL kept games close or that refs were acting like that one guy from the NBA for example....it'd cost millions and that's not just coming out of the NFL pocket.

Is there proof that refs are fixing games?

not really. it's all subjective. But in this particular play, if Gano makes the fg, delay of game and a punt, but, as in what happened Gano misses, no delay of game which gives Detroit better field position.

No more than there was in the NBA before Tim Donaghy.  It's more about the money not the NFL literally fixing who wins. I also find it cute that some people think there are no steroids in the NFL too though....it's so sweet.

    • I forgot about Burrow, he is elite when healthy.
    • Solid in free agency, and lets not forget the draft--Most teams expect to get 2 starters/key contributors out of the draft.  3 is a banner year, but more common for bad teams.   Look at this draft: TMac.  Yes please.  Sorely needed since XL is becoming the road kill he often eats. DAY 2 Scourton.  Pay attention.  he is a stud and playing like one.  A second-round edge?  Rare. Princely.  He has flashed a bit, but he is developmental. Bothered by an ankle.   I expect him to step up, if he is going to, by year 3.  That is the year, if you think about it. we saw the emergence of Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson.  I have not seen him on the field much lately (injured?) but I noticed he was a liability vs. the run in the few plays I paid attention.  Too early to tell. DAY 3 Etienne.  As a returner and third RB, a key contributor for a fourth rounder. Ransom.  He has been contributing, and I have little doubt he will push Scott to pasture. Mitchell.  Perhaps Morgan's best pick.  A good blocking, pass catching TE with swag.  In round 5.  I think he is our best TE already. Horn.  They are finding ways to use him.  Yes, he reminds me of Steve Smith a bit during his first half season of his rookie year.  They did not really know what they had at that time.   Cam Jackson: A fifth rounder has not played much, but he was and is developmental.
    • What job did he get done?   He was an albatross around the teams neck and they won despite him
