Most exciting game in over a year?

It's a big game between what looks to be 2 legit contenders. I just hope the Thursday night factor doesn't dilute the play because it is a great matchup.

I think a lot of you are selling Philly short. They are a very good team. We have every reason to be confident, but this one could go either way without shame (unlike the fiasco in NO).

I believe this game won't live up to expectations. Thursday night games are just horrible because of the short week and seem to include too many injuries. This will be a sloppy game that we will come out on top, but it won't be pretty.

With that said, I'm taking both Thursday and Friday off :shades:

Thurs is my regular day off.  Also took Wed (got to get ready...tailgate prep) and Fri morning (sleep and recovery).

This game is very exciting.  This is a statement game.  But damn...this is the third statement game in a row.  With the way this team is playing I look for them to make a statement every week.

Thursday HFA is pretty big.   With that plus our injuries I don't think this one winds up as an Eagles win.

I was insanely excited for the AZ playoff game because I felt certain we were going to win that game, and I'd been making predictions on here as well. When we started being the poo out of them I played the Superman theme in my living room at least 10 different times. It was amazing.

Its huge because of how the media always crushes on nfc east teams. Them being 4-1, having obnoxious fans, and because everyone thinks theyre better (those giants and cards win really put the league on notice) make it big. Yes what folks think doesnt matter but some of the fun of being a panthers fan is always being looked over and then shwacking a media/fan favorite.

Well I mean the Patriots and Bucs were supposed to be exciting, but that turned into a snooze fest. Thursday night games are always overhyped and underwhelm, and the ones we expect to be bad become good out of nowhere.

Would not be surprised to see this turn into a defensive struggle for both offenses.

Not always over hyped and underwhelming.  Because, for the most part, the matchups are trash on paper.  And some turn out to be good games Rams/49ers a few weeks ago, for instance.

Agreed!

My wife and I are both re arranging our work schedules so we can watch live.  5:25 PDT is a bitch to make for a live game on the west coast so we started planning/re arranging after that W in Detroit.

Going to BBQ get some beers and do it up nice.

Even got some new swag coming for the kids.

Define "BBQ" for me.

Watching this one on the tube, another thing to look forward to is Romo's prognosticating. Will be interesting to see how many times he sees right through the play calling. And let's not forget what happened the last time Romo saw Keek wearing all blue. I really want to see if he brings that up, and what he says about it if he does.

Carolina Theme Night- I’m doing a small pork shoulder for some pulled pork with homemade vinegar sauce. If I can’t get a hold of my baker friend to make me some fresh buns for sammiches we’ll have it with some slow cooked beans, & maybe some slaw.

Thought about doing a Bo Ssam in the house but the weather in Cali will be nice so I will be outside. + that would break the Carolina theme, since Bo Ssam is Korean.

Why you want to come over?:tongue:

Just wanted to make sure we were talking about proper BBQ not hamburgers and hot dogs.

    • PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina.  Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting.  And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era.  If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory.  Which he would do.  Yeah, he isn't good.  And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs.   So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young.  And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce.   I didn't say PJ had good field vision.  He doesn't.  Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol.  Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB.  He is NFL depth and an in house arm.  Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam.  He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing.  Which isn't just PJ Walker.  But Kyle Allen.  Moore.  Guys like that.
    • Oh I see what you meant by memory. I will trust my memory, I have looked a a lot of those ball charts for Bryce and they trend a general pattern. They thing that has changed that I have noticed more recently is the reduction in the bunching of behind or at  the LOS passes over to his right.  Aside from the quantity of throws recently since the running game has become a more dominant factor.
    • Yes but you basically said you are going from a quick skim of those charts without doing the same for Bryce and/or Andy. So you are going memory vs. snapshots. That's not going to be a very comprehensive analysis.
