It really doesn't matter unless the person behind you is a child.  There's a huge big screen TV so if the person in front of you is blocking your view, consider watching more of the big screen.  If I was the older gentleman, I might have politely asked the guy in front of me to be courteous and sit down some, but if he refused, I'd be okay with it.  Definitely wouldn't antagonize him or make myself out to be a victim.

If I have to watch on the big screen, I may as well stay home. But I like to be there and be loud. I should not have to stand the whole game just to kinda see and end up watching on the jumbotron. I'm 5'1" and 4th row lowers. No reason anyone in front of me needs to stand.

I suggest a booster seat. Or as SCP has a isle seat. No reason for someone in front of you to have to cater to your needs. Also if you're over 6'2" your going to have a obstructed view any. Is it a problem yes, is it the person in front of you problem no. This right here is why we get called the wine and cheese crowd.

Stand up with him.  Your at a game for goodness sake. Expect that to happen. If you want to sit and watch get a box seat or lower level. Expect rowdy fans in the upper levels. But there is no reason for dude to start acting like that. Respect fans of your team. If it was a eagles fan i wouldn't care.

If standing the whole game is more important than showing some respect for older people sitting behind you when asked to sit then you're an asshole.

My father is disabled, not always wheelchair disabled (can sometime use a walker so he'd be in a normal seat) and I would be pretty pissed if someone stood in front of him for the entire game.  Sometimes people take it for granted that not everyone else can stand for 3 hours.

If I have to sit the whole game, I may as well stay home.  I'm not saying it's cool for someone to stand the whole game, but it's their right to do as they wish with the tickets they purchased.

Did you know sitting less is shown to be better for a long life? https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/09/17/sit-less-live-longer/

I'm fine while sitting, thank you very much. And I have aisle seats (not isle). So I'd think that I should be able to watch the game on the field and not on the screen.

Try being short. I cannot see the field when everyone stands. Sitting levels the view for me. I basically saw none of the NFCCG except on the screen.

It's a struggle in our section every game. No one tells anyone to sit down. There's a crowd of 6 three rows down from me and now a PSL owner has been bringing her late-20's son who loves to stand the entire game by himself, even commercial breaks, even halftime. Blocks half the field for us because he's right in front of us. So we often have to stand to see anything and I know the rows behind us (9 of them) also have to stand then. However the 3 rows down crowd is not even paying attention to the game. It's like they think they're at a cocktail party and drunk off their asses. It's annoying because then everyone behind them has to stand to see, all the way up the section, 9 rows. Does anyone think of that? It's more than just the people right behind you that you are annoying.

We do stand and yell for the opening kickoff and 3rd downs and often when the D is playing. But sit between plays and when the O is playing. If someone new sits behind us I warn them that we do stand at times (seats are owned by a corporation but usually it's the same people.) Only once was my son asked to sit down, politely, by an elderly couple behind us. He didn't but he leaned into me every time we stood so they could see. My son is 6' and close to 300 lbs lol.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
