Second in the NFL, almost tied for first. 

 

This defense is good enough to keep the Panthers in the hunt. 

Coach Wilks has been outstanding.

Either the Panthers promote Wilks this offseason or he is gone, I guarantee it.

Wilks is as close to a sure thing HC I've ever seen at the coordinator position. He talks like a HC. He coaches great. Makes adjustments. I think he's gotta be our HC next year. I don't care if Rivera wins us a Superbowl this season. It'll be Wilks D that gets us that Superbowl. Not Rivera.

Saints D ranked 20th. I believe that will eventually be their undoing. They host Tampa's 4th ranked offense this weekend. I'll be curious to see if they can slow them down.

Oh how nice it would be for the Bucs to go in to New Orleans and beat them...while we demolish Atlanta.  Now that would make for an awesome weekend!

What difference does Wilks make, if we still have Shula at OC?

Our defense let up big points against the better QBs we have played (Brady, Stafford, Brees, Wentz) , so I think some of our defensive stats are a bit misleading. I'm curious to see how they perform against ATL on Sunday, and against the Saints at their place later in the season.  I'd be more impressed if they could hold these great QBs to under 20 points in a game , but that's yet to happen.
