Bersin = Active today

How does a guy go from being cut multiple times through the years while also not on the roster for the first 8 games, to being active less than a week after being picked up? It just shows the complete lack of depth at the position and the staffs inability to fill the position with talent.

Beyond the obvious staff/ownership criticisms, we could do worse than a guy that has good hands and gets first downs.

But we could also do better... KB

On a side note, I bet when Byrd is healthy Bersin is gone again. Unless he somehow impresses in some real game action, which is unlikely. I don't see him playing more than 5 offensive snaps today.

Doesn't address the team's lack of speed, but the guy knows how to catch a ball, especially on shorter routes.

We'll have a fair amount of speed when Byrd is back, with Clay, Byrd and Samuel.

    • I don't think working from memory is going to be very productive or useful. You would need to compare them all, which is far easier to do from the breakdowns of each game. That has tiered charts that give real data.  But, even then that wouldn't substitute for a trained eye(s) doing detailed film analysis to attempt to determine if we are modifying the offense dramatically for Bryce.
    • I think front office and general team culture under new ownership is sort of on the right track. The rookies all look incredible compared to where you'd expect each one of them to be right now. Lee's in game coaching is awful, he might be ok as a culture and developmental guy but that can't outweigh the in-game miscues and bad game plans. If LaMelo can't figure out the ankles then I think you gotta trade him for a haul, can't keep having your seasons lost every year because he can't stay on the court. And I say that as a big fan of him. Miller I think is unlucky, he looks likely to be an elite core player for us, but if he can't put together a stretch of healthy seasons he would trend towards LaMelo and need to be moved. I used to like Miles on the court a lot more but nowadays he's just an empty stat guy who needs to go. The short lived hot start to the season was fun but unless LaMelo and Miller both get and stay healthy within the next few weeks I can't even see us being a play-in team this year. And even if they do get healthy, we're probably looking at play-in at best, maybe barely compete for that fringe 6th seed.
