Cardinals vs Seahawks , First Game of Week 10 Thread

So these guys have the first game of the week, and we have the last game of the week!

If the Cardinals win, it would make the division race quite interesting and put both the Cardinals and Seahawks at 5-4 with the Rams being on top of the division at 6-2 . Just looking at the NFC in general there might be alot of 9-7  or 10-6 ish teams all vying for wildcard spots, and I'm dearly hoping we're not one of them. Well, we dont have to worry about tiebreakers in this division, because we only played the 49ers this year and won against them so..  Its still pretty meaningful to watch for us I think, because I have a feeling we have a decent chance at seeing one of these teams in the playoffs.

I think Rams win the division if they can win the next Seahawks game, which I expect them to. Outside of that I don't see a wildcard coming from that division. Either the East -- Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles all in the hunt and look better than Cards/Seahawks, West -- Lions and Vikings in the hunt, and the Aints from the South.

How is this panther related? You know there's a whole NFL forum? There is literally nothing about this game that matters to us

ive been doing this this entire season for Thu and Mon games, and no mods have taken any of them down. And almost all the other forums are dead in comparison to this one.

Ill do the same on Sunday too, I dont think we are forbidden from posting gameday threads for other matchups that aren't in our time slot.

You know, I probably shouldn't even say this outloud, yet alone online, where it will live forever. But I actually like those uniforms.

Every time I see them all I can think about is Robin Williams' awesome golf bit,

"Where even a blind gay man would go, Oh, dear Christ! Those are loud, this is not carnival! What the fug are you on?"

An hour into the broadcast we finally have football. That's after an hour long pregame show. That was ridiculous. I was cooking dinner with it just on in the background, but still. Good grief. Less bullshit, more football.

Meanwhile, this Cardinals defense was ALL OVER the Seahwaks' offense on that opening drive. 3 plays, - 7 yards.

    • The last child @ home has told me he wants to go to a game, so we're seeing vs Rams on the 30th
    • Did we really shut them down though? They had 369 yards of offense.   That is 9 more yards than they average per game and 53 more than we give up per game this year.   If a team gave up 369 yards per game on defense, they'd be the 7th worst defense in the league this year. Yes, I will give our defense credit for having the 4th down stand near our goal line as well as creating the fumble that stopped their first drive, as they did rise to the occasion then, but even the INT was just a ridiculous play/throw and handed it to us and they also missed a FG. We didn't force them into a single punt all game.  We had 1 sack on a QB who had 37 pass attempts. They had drives of 56, 49, 50, 43, 58, and 71 yards (while we only had 2 over 40 yards ourselves). We bent, a lot, but never really broke, partially due to the Packers own mistakes, that's a far cry from "shutting them down" in my opinion.  Again, this is why I'm critical of us after a day like today, I'm able to look beyond a final score and evaluate how we played on the whole, and we keep squeaking out these wins despite not playing well at all.  And yes, that is what great teams do, but they also play well in the majority of their games, where as all we seem to do is squeak out ugly wins without ever playing all that well. I'm not saying I'm unhappy that we won, I've never once said anything like that, but when week after week I see serious concerns with how we played, then I'm going to call out what I see.
