You seen Rogue One yet? Best movie of the franchise in a long time.

i'm sure hes referencing the numbered mainline movies. Disney's going to milk the franchise as much as they can with these offshoot movies, especially since Rogue One was so well received. I know there's at least that Han Solo movie that I think will come out before episode 9.

I agree , episode 7 was a letdown.  My first impressions of the movie were not that good but had kinda mixed feelings. Watched a movie breakdown a while later explaining how much poo is ripped strait from a new hope and that made me pretty sour. Its like the directors knew how much the prequels were hated by sw fanboys and tried to play it safe and be as close to the originals as possible.

What I hated the most about the movie was Rey. There is absolutely no sense of training or progression in that whole movie, she almost automatically knows how to use mind trick/fight off Kylos mind invasion, she knows how to fix and fly/pliot anything, and she can out duel a sith apprentice (what I'm guessing Kylo is, he still seem very raw) and win the fight pretty handily. To the viewers knowledge, she has no experience with lightsabers or the force and she immediately fights like a veteran that can easily have their way with a sith apprentice? lol

And in general i felt like i wasn't connected or cared about any of the characters.

Oh my. I guess because ol' Fua thinks I should throw away 50+ years of rooting for the Lions. That I surely must. How dare I continue to root for my home town team, just because I live in Pantherland.

When you grow up. You yourself may learn the meaning of loyalty.

Like I said. If you don't like how folks respond to your posts. I don't know what to tell you.

Don’t let Fua rattle you Hubby. He’s just a troll that knows nothing of loyalty. He’s been actively rooting for the Panthers opponents for weeks now cus he’s tired of some ish or something. I don’t think it speaks to anyone’s loyalty that they love the Panthers but still have an old/second team they grew up cheering for. I’m on the older end of the millennial generation, so I’ve only known the Panthers (born in 91). But I have a similar situation to you, I grew up in State College, PA - the heart of Steelers country. To this day, I still like to see them do well. I hate to see their fans invade our stadium, but I have a soft spot for the team itself. That doesn’t make me any less of a Panthers fan.

My Dad’s as big a Panther fan as you get. He grew up in Indiana watching the Bears and still looks back on their 80s teams highly. Doesn’t make him less a fan.

That being long said I do have a ton of family in the sticks that grew up Cowboys fans and still are - that’s different.

Don’t even talk to me about loyalty, the amount of hours I’ve spent in airports and money I’ve spent to see this team play...

It’s well known why I’m switching my little picture thingy by now but apparently you’re a sensitive Sally that can’t handle anyone saying anything negative about the Panthers.

Why don’t you go run along and make another one of your stellar “who to root for” threads for this week that literally makes no sense at all because apparently understanding tiebreakers is too much for you to handle.

    • The word I feel most comfortable using as a descriptor is "inconsistent". Haven't really seen anyone disagree with that. Consistency being one of the things I value most in a player, that makes me lean toward moving on. But he does still have both time and opportunity to prove otherwise. Mind you, having a streaky quarterback isn't exactly a new thing in Charlotte (you could argue it's been the norm). Delhomme was notorious for starting slow but finishing strong. He could sadly also find hos way into ruts that were difficult to crawl out of. Newton, on the other hand, was often known to start hot but fade late (the vast majority of the 2015 season followed that pattern) though it could be argued that was a team pattern as much as it was Cam's.  There are definitely some fans for whom this is always going to be a bridge too far. (or too short) Realistically, it's not impossible that he could still have a good career even with those issues. It's a damn sight more difficult, though. And arguably, less likely.
    • Oh, I did, and they weren't based in emotions either. Granted, characterizing them that way gives you an easy out to avoid responding to them. Similar tactic to dismissing the other guy's points with "nah, you didn't really watch the games" which saves you having to debate what he said. Strikes me as a kinda lazy way to go, but hey both elements are still back there if you feel up to trying later.
    • I see the issue, I am not counting his rookie season where he didn't actually play minus a few snaps of garbage time. So by your math that would be his 4th year.
