I firmly believe it's time for a complete overhaul: new coaching staff, new GM, new front office staff, new scouts, all of it.

And yes, I am fully aware of what that means as far as transition. I'll still take it over more years of mediocrity, eventually followed by that same transition. Right now, I believe we're just putting off the inevitable.

All that said, nobody believes we'll even be firing our offensive coordinator.

Mr. Scot...can I call you that?  I'm assuming that you've been watching sports for as long as I have, but in your experience of watching sports does every team have the best coach?  Can we somehow wrest Belicheat away from New England?  No?  Of course not.  Then again, even Belicheat couldn't get Cleveland going.  Speaking of Cleveland, don't you think our franchise is better than they've been?   We're one of the youngest franchises and yet "fans" bemoan the fact that we haven't won a superbowl...despite the fact that there are many franchises that haven't even been to a superbowl.  We've been to two, we've not won yet but at least we've been there.  That in itself is a feat I would say.

All that said, let me clue you guys in...great head coaches are not beating down our door trying to get in.  We've got a good one now, not great, but good.  Maybe one day we'll build this franchise up to where those great head coaches are beating down our door but until then, live in the now and enjoy every win, every divisional title, every NFC championship, until we do win the big one.  Because if you don't you're going to be a sour sports fan that beats his wife.  Let's not be that guy.  Unless she makes shitty lasagna.

We've won enough games that Richardson can justify, at least in his mind, keeping Hurney on permanently.

(though to be honest, I think we could have gone 2-14 and he's still have found a reason)

Just like he found a reason to fire our best GM ever.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
