Because they are still trying to justify drafting shaq  in the first round. If shaq doesnt play the nickel he really doesnt see the field that much.

Consider the fact that the GM who drafted him in the first round is gone I don't think that much matters at this point.

Coaching staff has input on drafts. Ron is the head coach, if its not working he can make change. He doesnt because he is an idiot just as much as the GM.

The coaching staff really needs Shaq to step up as TD's future replacement so they are getting him as many snaps as possible. Agree that Cap needs to be the nickel in most packages though.
