Just watched a video of Pep at home with his kids and wife on Twitter. Tried to attach, but with no luck. It's also on the Panthers website i believe. I can't ever remember him being as personable and forthcoming in his first go around here. He was rather introverted and quiet back then. He has done a 180 since being back and seems comfortable in his skin now, talks to the media and always smiling.  Love that he is  kicking ass and taking names on the field also. Hope he has a year or two left in the tank. Great guy and great player.

From what I have always understood, Pep’s biggest problem was that he was supposed to be some sort of savior of the franchise and he wasn’t really trying to be that. This team is clearly Cam’s team now so veteran Pep can just sort of kick back and do his thing. That’s how I have always understood it anyway.

That’s pretty spot on.  I think a lot of that was in his head tho.  A DE ain’t controlling the game week in week out.

He needed to get out unfortunately so he could come home.  We’re all happy now

In the video he appears to be introverted and quiet as well. I feel like that was the best camera face he could give. No offense to him or the post. He just isn't very social.

Also, Julius Peppers is one of the few human beings that make messengers bags look like purses.

I wish people would stop using introvert personalities with negative connotation. Most doctors, scientists, astronauts are introverts. Please do the world a favor and educate yourself. Just because Pepper's didn't open his big mouth yapping and fulfilling your entertainment needs does not mean he wasn't comfortable 'in his own skin'. Introversion has nothing to do with that.

    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
    • Because playoff hockey and regular season hockey aren’t the same thing.  It’s a combination of the game intensity being dialed up with loose officiating.
    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix had only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
