say Goodbye to Sonny Harris

From PFT:

The sole silver lining in the dark cloud regarding the shoulder injury to Steelers defensive end Aaron Smith was the possibility he'd be back in January, for the playoff run.

Now, there's no silver lining at all for the Steel Curtain.

The Steelers have placed Smith on injured reserve, which means that he will not play again in 2009.

To fill the spot on the roster, the Steelers have elevated rookie defensive end Ra'Shon Harris from the Panthers practice squad. A sixth-round pick by Pittsburgh in the 2009 draft, Harris was among the final roster cuts, he was claimed on waivers by the Panthers, he was later cut, and then he signed to the practice squad.

Matt Moore.

I thought he got cut and Dallas hoped he would clear waiver wires.

This is gay. They let Harris go in favor of Nick Hayden who gets blown up every game. Stupid asses. Hayden better be all pro, the FO puts just as much blind faith in him as they do Delhomme. Not saying Harris is great right now but wtf. Obviously the guy is coveted by some teams yet you don't give him a real chance and you stick with a scrub simply because he was a draft pick.

    • It depends on what version of bad we are getting. Can't have the locker room tearing apart over it.
    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
