Hits and misses... none of them have done any worse than greg hardy or rae carruth who were suppose to fit the carolina culture...

Did Hardy or Carruth remain Panthers?

As has been said many a time, the reason why the locker room is so strong is because they don't take in people with major character issues.

If fines, suspensions, the loss of millions in income and the threat of being blackballed from the league doesn't stop guys from doing stupid things, what magic do you think is in our locker room that will?

Downtown Charlotte is a much better venue for sporting events than putting a stadium out on the fringes in some podunk community.

As long as Charlotte is willing to pay for it, yeah. The alternate scenarios come into play in case they aren't.

That said, given the instant panic mode that the Charlotte city leaders went into as soon as they heard the Panthers were being sold, I've got a got a feeling they're gonna be pretty cooperative.

The current stadium seems like it would be more than adequate for the foreseeable future.

Would having the ability to protect the fans and players from extreme weather conditions be nice?

Sure, but not if that means hundreds of thousands of taxpayers are going to be on the hook for millions of dollars that will increase the personal wealth and prestige of a billionaire owner.

Sadly, threats to move a team tends to make most local governments very compliant.

What you and I see as "more than adequate" doesn't necessarily translate to billionaires.

Since Jerryworld was constructed, there's been an awful lot of stadium envy going around.

And to speak on the owner... I don’t know the guy but judging from most of the resonposes from posters on here, he would seem to be more of the same good ole buy nonsense that we currently have. You know the ones that pass on Janoris Jenkins and the honey badger because”they are criminals and would destroy our locker room”. We need to put this mentality along with the owner.

a strong locker room should be used to turn those kinds of kids life around and make themselves a asset to our team while getting a stud player at a discount. That’s why they fall in the draft..as a risk.. we know they can ball.take some chances.

This.
