No Huddle Experience is a Must for OC

Which teams have successfully run the No Huddle over the past twenty years? The Colts and Bills immediately come to mind.

Jim Caldwell was the QB coach for many years under Tom Moore in Indianapolis. Tom Moore is probably available - he was most recently an assistant and offensive consult for Bruce Arians - but he's 79. Let's rule out Moore.

Frank Reich obviously knows something about running the Bills No Huddle, but he's OC for the Eagles. I doubt they'll let him make a lateral move and I don't even think he'd entertain it... I'm sure he wants a head coaching job.

But Caldwell... hmm. That's a possibility.

I highly doubt our new GM is a member of the The Huddle.

I think there are lots of guys here at the Huddle who would do great as our next OC...

If you don’t think so just ask them

Comedians... They're everywhere.

agreed about experience running a no huddle. don't see that as a part of the three i see most mentioned in here as desired replacements.

norv turner runs a pretty conservative offense and people have decades of tape on what he does.

mccoy benefited from being josh mcdaniels lackey, lucking out with The Golden Calf of Bristol in a really bad division, and then peyton manning as a QB. always overrated. extent of his workouts with QBs here was throw the ball into a bucket.

chud...more creative than shula, but lacking in situational awareness just like chud. you want a team that can make adjustments? look somewhere else.

There isn’t really anything magical about coaching the no huddle. This is like saying we need an OC with experience with the I-formation. It’s ubiquitous.

got to be able to trust the offense in the no huddle. something that shula couldn't do.
