I just want someone who can spot and find talent, we need a home run draft in the worse way.

Falcons had a good one the year before last, then last year the saints had an even better one, maybe it's our turn lmao

Yep. Crazy how one great draft can instantly turn a team around.

I'm just picturing Hurney in these interviews asking all these questions with a "I fuging dare you to take my job" look on his face.

Well,  according to Scot,  Hurney is the selfless,  sacrificial type.  He'll realize that he isn't the best man for the job and bow out gracefully.

Dawson's info and a quote (Panthers.com)

Quote

"I'm not coming here to necessarily tear anything down or reestablish anything, but really just to be an asset and to serve and lead," Dawson said after interviewing with Panthers officials. "I think that we have a franchise-caliber quarterback and a great head coach who understands what people do on the offensive and defensive side of the football and knows how to get the most out of them. This is a tough division to win in. The NFC South is very competitive and highly productive, but the fact that we've had so much success, a lot of people must have been on the same page. I just want to come in and add to it."

Originally from Boston... Well, there goes that idea.

I am going to laugh my ass off when they actually do hire someone other than Hurney. Just to see how all of you backtrack on these comments about how you know exactly what is going on behind the scenes.

If they hire someone other than Hurney, I'll laugh my ass off too, but it'll be for happiness.

Believe me, I would absolutely love to be wrong here.

If that happens I will shout to the roof tops with joy.   I would be happy with the cheerleader run things until the new owners took over.  Just get Hurney out of the building.

I think actually in a perfect world, they should hire a new GM, and keep Hurndog on in an advisory role. He does know the team, but would not have the final say in anything important.

I'll take that deal with one slight modification: Hurney should have no say whatsoever on anything important.

Honestly, the smartest move would probably be to put him in charge of the PR department. That's where he actually excels.

Put him there and keep him away from the football decisions.

    • Also confirmed that Andersen was injured and not 100%. Said he could've kinda played but really can't do that this time of the year.
    • Rod kinda confirmed that Staalsy is gonna retire. Called it a great ending to his story.    Glad for him to go out on top with the cup and conn if true.
    • Every union, union adjacent, or union tangent organization does this. They prey on dumb employees  who think the union is there for them instead of the mob or some other social-politically entangled arse. Always degrades the product and indeed the price of that product too. Then money flowing up to people with 0 to do with anything about the product. Its the most simple protection racket and oldest in the book yet people are still sub 70 enough to think it matters for anything other than making money for the racketeers.  I mean this is on their Wiki(yeah i know wiki) The NFL Players Association is the labor union representing National Football League players in matters concerning wages, hours and working conditions, and protects their rights as professional football players. So instead of the player doing that with his own agent which is why you have a fkn agent lol. So they are pilfering money from the player twice. Agent then NFLPA The standard annual membership dues are approximately $15,000. While players are not legally obligated to formally join the union, those who choose not to are generally still required to pay a mandatory service fee equivalent to union dues. Can't take anyone seriously when they talk up unions and since the mob is involved that's why you get those refs doing NFL ref poo. You can even hear former mob Michael Franzese just open admit this now that he's out of prison and making YT videos.(has been for years now)
