It's "befuddling" that he was a first-team all-pro yet you classify him as a difference maker? That's not contradicting at all.

People are still blinded by the same physical limitations that made Norwell go undrafted. There's absolutely nothing special about him in terms of an athlete compared to other NFL OL but the guy can just flat out play. Tom Brady has a ton of physical limitations as a QB too, but the guy can just flat out play. Not saying Norwell is the Brady of interior OL, not by a long shot, but once the combine is over and you're an NFL vet with proven performance none of that underwear Olympics stuff is relevant anymore.

What's really befuddling to a guy like Andy Benoit is how many people recognized that Andrew Norwell is an All-Pro while he did not.

He possesses excellent short-area power and the athleticism to shoot gaps as a pass rusher. He’s not Fletcher Cox or Aaron Donald, but he could be the missing piece that makes a good defensive line great.

I'm sorry but star has never been a pass rusher. He is a two down tackle.

Andy Benoit doesn't even know what pattern matching is and thinks it's highly unusual when the Patriots do it.

Norwell is one of these guys that doesnt look great on Paper but when you get him on the field he is a baller. I will take an effort guy like that every day of the week.
