Big Business ppl like to keep negotiations under wrap until the right time.

MJ has enough money w/ his group.

(NFL will even help MJ group  w/ finance  similar to MLB deal with Jetter)

The bigger question is will NFL push for a minority owner due to changing customers & landscape of America aka more diversity.

There's no indication Jordan even has a "group".

But if he did, unless he's hanging with somebody that's worth more than 11 billion, he's not competing with Tepper.

MJ would have to divest the hornets and completely shift his focus.  He has never indicated this as an option. He also would have some difficulty writing a 650m check. MJ isn’t an option. If he were his current ownership style is the opposite of what we need anyway.

As difficult as it is to buy an NFL franchise, I wouldn't be surprised to see the number go up past that.

There's no way Jeff Bezos would invest in the NFL right now with all the political stuff going on.  He'd lose so much money if that carried over into his real money maker, Amazon.

MJ is worth almost 1.7b dollars now, 700m of that is the Hornets. Considering his cash flow from Nike and his relationship with them, I wouldn't be surprised if he could come up with the money if he wanted too.

Ok. Assuming those valuations are correct then he could potentially pull together 800m personally but the problem would be the timeframe. He has a lot of value but not cash and value is hard to turn into cash in tight windows. Regardless he is a very public figure who hasn’t shown a single iota of interest so even if he could sell the hornets in the time he hasn’t begun that process. If MJ could write a 250m check in the next 6mo I’d be surprised.

Give up owning a team in the sport he's loved his whole life in order to buy one in a sport he's never had any association with or interest in...
