*SPECULATION* Rapoport: Panthers Among Potential Suitors For Trading For 16 Million Dollar Scatback Jarvis Landry

How can he do that if he is going to extend both Kalils and Stewart?

Just kidding--no more poo.  I can't handle any more poo.

If Hurney trades our second rounder, or even a third for the right to pay Landry too much, it is all we hate about him in one move.

I say we storm the castle, take Jerry and put him on a train heading out of town,  Tar and Feather Marty Hurney, and then put him on  the next train out of town.

you post too much. landry is a playmaker. stop stealing things from reddit. I want this to happen. I mean he's no paul richardson or a risk of a draft pick.

You understand trading for landry on the type of contract he's looking for with him only being a slot wr is the type of things Dan Synder would do???

I'm a fan of his and he makes things happen after the catch but his yards per reception is AWFUL for an elite paid wr. For comparison Funchess is an outside wr and he averages 14.4 per reception.

And yes he might line up all over the field but if you line up everywhere and over 70%of your production comes from the slot that means that you're a what......... a slot wr.

Nah.

I don't understand why you want to waste people's time for clicks. I actually watched that clip of two guys bullshitting because of how you framed it.

It seems like Saca312 "apparently" doesn't want his future threads to be taken seriously.

Rather than attempting wordplay, try being like every other normal person that understood this is merely my sarcastic tone as an entrance followed by where I clearly state this is mere speculation.

Perhaps that would help rather than wordplay lol.

Yeah, you're full of poo. There's many posts in this thread with others calling you out as well.

I love how the same few users come into every thread to find something to bash about lmao. It's so amusing.

Never stop Huddle.

You are speaking about yourself and the other posters who have inundated every thread with Hate Hurney comments for days for example. You laugh at others but the joke is on you.

Saca you're not big on laundry but you been big on some questionable players that never did anything . Landry is already proven

Fair.

Even if Landry is proven, I don't think it's feasible considering his contract for the team no matter how good he is. Even if he potentially is a top 10 receiver in the NFL I wouldn't bite for 16 million dollars considering our more pressing needs.

There are plenty of other decent WRs out there that shouldn't cost as much that we can afford that certainly would be better than most on our roster. I'd rather see us explore other options.

Let me be on the record saying id love this

landry has been productive with bad QBs and bad offenses.

ELITE slot WR, exactly what Cam needs.

He is capable of being so much mote thsn a slot, but hes had to eat somehow. The QB s  played with can only get him the ball short range.

Norv + Cam, hell the fug yeah.

Look at it this way . If we had Kelvin we would have ended up having to pay him anyway . And Landry would most likely cost us a 3rd . It's basically the same thing as is paying Kelvin if Kelvin lived up to the hype .

Sure, if Landry's as good as you say, who wouldn't want him. I can see your point.

However, I also am thinking about this on a money and logical basis as well. As enticing as it is to embrace Cam with a top tier WR, you also have to consider how much he costs alongside how much we can afford.

The issue is cap space. Sure, if there was an infinite surplus, I'd already be advocating us to grab every top tier FA option and pay them record deals.

But sadly, it's not. That's why even if Kelvin Benjamin lived up to the hype and demanded 16 million, I'd rather we let him go. Simply put, we have around 18 million or so to spend this offseason, and adding landry would be eating up 8/9 of that cap space.

You have to remember, we still have to consider keeping Gano or finding a new kicker, adding a veteran secondary piece, and trying to retain Norwell and/or Star alongside adding a WR. Sure, Landry's an enticing big name, but at this point with our cap it's better to find value guys who'll still contribute while having a solid reputation.
