Mystery AFC Team offered 2nd rounder for Nick Foles.

There was a report that they view him as being more valuable than Bradford--who they got a 1st and 4th for. I find that to be ridiculous and silly considering he's actually hurting their team to a large degree being on the roster because of the cap hit and they only have him for 1 more year. A 2nd I would think is a lot to trade for him. A journeyman who got hot and won it all with a great team and great offensive coaches should not be demanding that much. Especially when you can get him for nothing in a year if they don't trade him. If this report was true, Eagles should've jumped on the 2nd rounder... Unless it was from a team like the Jags or Bills (reports were it was earlier this offseason so before Bortles got extended) which would be later 2nd and they were holding out for a team like the Brown to trade a high 2nd for him. Still that would be risky.

Willing to bet this isn't Carolina related whatsoever. #plzban

I think you'd probably just be best served to take a break through the offseason. You just don't understand how these things work here on the Huddle in the offseason and you don't seem to care to participate.

Why take it, Wentz may not be back for the season opener and it's been leaked that he had an "RG3" like injury and one doctor is recommending he wear a brace the rest of his career.

So foles on a cheap contract is more valuable to them than the pick.

Uh oh. My buddy who is a huge Eagles fan told me that there's been a lot of Lamar Jackson to the Eagles rumors flying in recent days too. There very well may be more to that injury than a run of the mill ACL tear.

Spoiler:

It was the Browns.

that would actually make sense. They have a poo ton of picks (3 in the second) and plenty of money to spend. they could have the superbowl mvp for a 2nd round pick that they're likely to screw up anyway and $7.6 left on his contract. They should do it.

Yeah, I think the concern is the longevity of the lateral stability of the knee. I'  positive he'll bounce back but how soon and he might never get back to his MVP level.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
