Top 100 Free Agent Lists

The NFL released their Top 101 list in late February: Link

The players featured on both lists are mostly the same, though with some pretty broad (like 40 spots broad) differences in where they rank.  Paul Richardson is the only one I saw with the same ranking on both (#40).  I'd tend to take the NFL's judgment over PFTs, but it's all ultimately just the opinion of the guys who made the lists either way (for entertainment purposes only). Both lists seem to shy away from players who have been tagged, though Jarvis Landry and Kyle Fuller do appear. The top two on both are Kirk Cousins and Drew Brees.  The NFL has Cousins first while PFT prefers Brees.

As far as Panthers, Andrew Norwell is top ten in both (#6 per the NFL, #5 for PFT) while Star Lotulelei is top thirty in both (NFL 27, PFT 24). Julius Peppers is 37th on the NFL list and 38th for PFT. Former Panther Tre Boston is also on both lists.  The NFL has him #53 while PFT has him #39.  Oddly enough, the NFL actually lists former Panther Kony Ealy as well (#85).  Guess somebody over there believes maybe he can make a comeback.

For one big game, he looked like a star.

That, plus reclamation projects tend to come cheap.  Someone signs him and he sucks, no big deal.  Sign him and he displays his Super Bowl form again, win.
