Free Agency Notes and Speculation

Free agent Jordy Nelson will visit the Raiders on Wednesday.

Nelson was cut by the Packers on Tuesday and will immediately start making the rounds. GM Reggie McKenzie obviously has a history with Nelson from their time together in Green Bay. If Nelson were to sign with the Raiders, it would likely mean the end for Michael Crabtree in Oakland.

Jesus, i hope not. Keeping eye out on him, Hyde, and Reid

Sadly I think all 3 are too expensive.  Reid is for sure.

We would need at least 8 mill for Reid IMO...just not seeing it but you never know.  Shepard would save 3.5 and they could probably cut others so you never know.

Jaron brown would be a nice pick up

Hometown kid, has produced when asked to fill in, still fairly young, has good speed and is 6'2.  ~$2-4 mil/yr range IMO

He would be an upgrade over Shepard easy and if Samuel battles injuries, I'd be cool rolling with a Funchess-Smith-Brown type crew.  I mean, anything is better than late last season.

Def, would set us up very nicely in the draft imo, hopefully a move made in a couple days if that’s his market value

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
