Should we extend Olsen now?

As free agency approaches and it's looking like the ship has sailed on cutting R Kalil or Shepard (for now) I am just trying to think of other ways to create cap space. Question is do you feel comfortable enough extending him now for cap space or put the decision off until next year.

If we are going to show restraint and not go all in on Allen Robinson or Sammy Watkins, then I see no real need to make the move's now. However if we do want to be serious about either of them or any other top tier free agents  I feel  like we need to create some more cap room.

Olsen is in the last year of his current contract and is 32 years old but had 3 consecutive 1k+ yard seasons before getting injured last year. His current cap hits is 9.75 MM. Thats the 4th largest on the team.  We have no immediate means to replace him, without forcing our hand in the draft. I'd assume he'd be happy to return here at a reasonable rate that would provide us some much needed cap relief so we can be more serious contenders in landing a top tier WR in free agency.
