TD - 7.7m

And the free space we have remaining now? You can structure Sammy’s contract better. We have the ability to free up quite a bit of money next offseason. 

Quit using the cap as an excuse, there’s always ways to pay someone.

Part of me worries that last year would have been the prime "graceful exit" time.

This year's exit might not be so "graceful".

Thats why I can't understand this being a surprise. Even if we did pony up the 14/16 million, Chicago still had the brinks truck on standby.
