Gantt: Sale process "ramping up"

I wonder, if a potential owner were to ask to watch the draft from the Panthers war room, would they say yes?

Tepper, for example, is technically still affiliated with the Steelers. Not that I believe he'd spy or any such, but the team may have protocols about that sort of thing.

Of course, if you say no to him, and then he does buy the team, welp...

With a solid and accepted bid then yes. With a bidding process ongoing no. He will also be actively selling the Steelers ownership. I wonder if that’s being monitored at all or is all back channel.

Guess we'll see.

Honestly, by the time the draft rolls around, we should probably know who the new owner is gonna be.

It's not even about the highest price. Jerry has the final say, and I'm sure he would like to keep his legacy as in tact as possible. Going with Tepper, via the Rooney's seems like a way for him to maintain some sort of control over the situation, and pass his baby into like minded hands for the future.

If he's concerned about his legacy, keeping the team in the Carolinas should be a major consideration. Navarro seems to be best choice from that perspective.
