Jaire Alexander is far and away better than Josh Jackson as a prospect. I actually think that Josh Jackson would be a better FS.

Eh, depends

Alexander is a Freak but at the same time a tweener.  His big thing, if he gets the ball in his hands, its almost like Deion Sanders.

Jackson though fits our system like a glove.  He reads QBs and offenses better than any CB in this draft.  While if you force him to play man he is going to struggle.  Put him in the Zone he is going to thrive.  He can Really Hit too.  And when your playing off in a Zone D.  Thats Real important for short passes.  How many times have we seen CB wiff a tackle on a short out that ended up being 15 yards.  And its not just the ball skills plucking them out of the air.  He is a strip machine like Norman.

Alexander concerns me because if he doesnt get his hand on the ball he could struggle

I like Oliver as well. He has the abilities to be the next Josh Norman

I think Jackson is closer to Norman, in that he's gonna do much better in a zone heavy scheme. Oliver, to me, compares favorably to Lattimore. Long. Fantastic hips. Really understands some parts of playing corner that older guys don't. You see him turn his head to locate the ball while he leans on the receiver and presses him to the sideline on go routes. Effortless hip flips on slants and outs and ins.

He's not quite as fast as Lattimore, but he's longer. Lattimore has long arms and Olivers are 2" longer, on top of being an inch taller. As a boundary corner, I'd take him over Ward.

what, suck for 3 years, have one good season, cash in a huge check and vanish on his next team?

Stats to back that statement up? The dude rode the bench most of those years because our incompetent staff can’t recognize talent. Same thing with Byrd who was lighting it up when he finally got some play time until his untimely injury.

Stop being salty.
