This a Belichick Patriot type draft..

WOW!!

A lot of players switching Positions.. A lot of situational type roles drafted for.. Again I don't know if that is good or bad . But it seems like we are reacting to things that happen last season and pick situational prospects to fix those things .. Instead dictating our philosophy and picking players for that philosophy.. I like the latter but Belichick has 5 rings saying I'm wrong..

I hope not. The Patriots are pretty overrated when it comes to drafting. Bulk of their picks aren't any better than the guys we normally develop. The difference is they always have insane proven vet depth on the cheap based off their reputation. We don't get that luxury so our picks have to count, whereas they can fug around. For the most part, I like this crop of what seems like hungry ballers though.

You can say that but if you look at their roster most of there big plays are made by drafted players...

Gronkowski, Eldelmen, Hightower, Butler, Mccortty, White, and a lot of others were players they drafted or signed as undfa..

Yeah, but those are just their best players. Every team in the nfl has a handful of good players they drafted that carry their team. Look at us. I feel like we have more quality drafted talent than they do and have zero rings. It's just they get the total package when it comes to coaching and drawing interest or vets on 1 year deals to round out their team. They do have productive guys that fit their scheme, but they also have a ton of guys that didn't pan out. I still feel they are overrated when it comes to drafting and would rather not copy what they do when it comes to the draft.

You could say the same thing about Hurney. Getting a few good players doesn’t make him a good drafter.

A few good players?? Really?? 5 titles but a few good players..?? Lol

You also notice how many QB he's drafted and traded to get a few more good players..

Also the good players he drafted and traded away.. Chandler Jones, Jamie Collins, and on and on..

Reality Check Belichick is a solid drafter..

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
