100% camp body. We already have too many WRs. I wish they’d cut Shepard already.

It's too easy to default to "camp body."

You're most likely correct, but there are instances where UDFA WRs make teams.

Hearns, Cole, Thielen, Golladay...to name a few. Snead should have made our roster.

Just saying. Hope springs eternal.

Technically speaking yes, but if this guy makes it then that’s real bad. He’s not making it due to skill level, he’s making it like Clay starting last year. It’s bad for us. We are way deeper at WR than we have been in years. Byrd appears to be #6 and he was better when he played than all but Funchess.

You're being mighty presumptuous. If he makes it (which I already said is unlikely on the face of things), it will only be because of skill level, considering the talent that we have presumably acquired. Competition is the key, and not rhetorical "competition" like as has seemingly been the case for a good part of the Rivera era.

6'1, 190. Accolades in his conference FWIW. Camp body likely, but you never know

Couple points of clarification - Receiver Dre Hall has not officially signed a UDFA contract yet; my understanding is more of a rookie tryout situation next weekend. Reggie Bonnafon is currently seen by team as a running back.

Damn Juan. I'll edit title since it means so much.

Never thought I'd say this but.....no udfa wr scrub will play for this team this year

Byrd was a udfa, do you think we cut him? I'd say that he was on the bubble as our #6 WR, if we keep 6.

    • I really have no clue what to expect sunday.  To quote one of my favorite bands of all time, Operation Ivy "All I know is that I dont know".  We could win, hell we could win convincingly, we also could lose in blowout fashion.  We could be in a back and forth game with whoever has the ball last winning.  I legit HAVE NO CLUE.  This isnt the dominant bills teams of the past, Allen is still elite and can win any game by himself.  That said, heres my stab at looking at things. Our defense is made to stop this kind of team.  Strong against the run, a great corner but meh talent around the field.  We've stopped prolific run offenses this season.   Javonte Williams - Season low yards and ypa against us. De'Von Achane - Season low yards and ypa against us Breece hall - 3rd worst yards in a game Fact of the matter is, we arent what we were last year, we are a good run defense and that lines up well against the bills, Stop the run.  For once the lack of moving Jaycee might be a good thing, he will essentially lock down a side and without multiple real weapons thats fine.  Buffalo does not have an elite guy, theyve got a gaggle of average dudes.  Allen will stay away from Jaycee, it will be on Mike Jack and Chau Smith Wade do to their part and they will be matched with guys they can play at the level of. On offense, we do what the bills are bad at.  We run the ball well, and they suck at stopping the run.  Rico and Chuba will need 30 carries.  Andy Dalton will need to be opportunistic.  My big fear is what we learned last year, Dalton can get overconfident and make bonehead throws.  Its this simple.  Run the ball, stop the run.  Dont turn the ball over.  If we do these 3 things, we will be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
    • This makes me wish we took a flyer on Quinn Ewers late in the draft
    • He has been a good player and clean player over the years. I don’t follow that close but think he was closing in on setting his resume for his place in the all time rankings. I am sympathetic to him becaus this will hurt him there.
