Tepper is the guy: Love it or hate it?

Any reporting about the minority ownership?

Obviously Tepper is "vetted" and I have no doubt he has deep pockets.... now.  But anyone else worried that our new owner's worth depends for the most part on the health of the stock market?  I mean, regardless of the economy people are going to eat.  JR's wealth, while not "old money" was definitely more "recession proof" than buying Bank of America stock at $3 and trading it for a $4 billion profit later.

Katie Peralta was asked about that...

He has to win our trust/respect. Jerry was loved simply for bringing the Panthers to Charlotte. Tepper will need to prove himself. If his first order of business is bending over the fan base and city for a new Stadium.... I would have a problem with that.

Ticket prices should not be going up for a long time, concession prices should probably go down. Embrace the passionate fans and get rid of the khaki wearing yuppis that ask excited fans to sit down and call the hotline if they hold up a sign.

The reason he's the owner and not Navarro is because he's a yes man to the NFL.

Navarro isn't the pick because he wasn't liquid enough.  Tepper was preferred because he's got plenty of money and the other owners aren't inclined to prop up a franchise if things get tight.  Pretty sure some are still bitter about Jerry Jones using their funding to make money he pocketed.

JR was a yes man, Tepper??? TBD.  Doesn't seem like the type to me.

When is the last time a new owner enjoyed success within the first 5 years?

I'll give you a hint...they don't.

Robert Kraft, Jerry Jones, Pat Bowlen. Generally speaking new ownership buys train wrecks like tha Jaguars, Dolphins, Browns, and Bills. When a good franchise is on the market there is a track record for success.

Steve Bisciotti was 49% owner when the Ravens won in 2001 then a full owner for the win in 2013.

I won't be one of the "anybody but Jerry," because that attitude tends to lead towards bad decisions. I'm not happy that the NFL got involved as much as they did, forcing the direction that the process went. This doesn't mean Tepper can't/won't be a good owner. The reality is, we don't know enough to even make and informed decision.  I'm glad the sale didn't drag on. As to what kind of owner will Tepper be? We have no choice but to wait and see. We all hope and pray it'll be better.

You guys need to start preparing your stomachs in case this team leaves. I’ve already made peace with it so it doesn’t hurt down the road. Just saying. Don’t let it blindside you if Tepper moves the team

I hate it  Tepper seems like a total prick who won't think twice about moving the team if something seemingly better comes along.  This is going to be a major culture shock and I think he was probably the worst choice of the four candidates.

You do understand the concept of "recent" I take it?  And Benson to Benson does count as does Rooney to Rooney.

Don't ever respond to one of my posts again.
