I think the pics we saw a couple of months ago showed some added mass, but this one surprised me because it shows how lean he's remained while bulking.  I mean, shouldn't be hard with all that is at a pro athlete's disposal, but it is super impressive nonetheless.  He definitely looks battle ready coming into this season...

It's more the overall leanness. I see it in his face. His expression is different. More intense, less happy go lucky. (And this is no way a put down of his rookie season, conditioning or attitude.)

He looks so much more intense and focused. Tougher.

Not a rookie anymore.

Can't wait to watch him!

lol dude looks exactly the same, which is fine, he was a mature college athlete with a ton of production (and mileage) under his belt. Bulking up so he can run between the tackles better would be dumb anyway, that will never be the strength of his game in the NFL and will only serve to shorten his career

      Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.

      I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.

      Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
