None of the teams below us other than Jacksonville got the advantages that we did starting out.

Even once you get past the extras that the league gave us, many of those teams were created long before free agency became what it is today.

Teams that started new before us were true expansion teams. Their road to relevance was way harder than ours.

Like what?

honest question i was a small child when we got started up.

After over two decades of Carolina football under the leadership of owner Jerry Richardson , his win/loss record was a very average...

192-192-1

Cant get more average than that, hopefully Tepper can do a better job of ensuring that we field teams year after year that are competitive.

This is more on the GM then JR

Dude can't we stop with these threads they are getting really old. Quit trying to throw the guy under the bus. Same as with the threads about kneeling. So tired of hearing about this crap.

It's not that I disagree with you.

Just I can't help myself.

Technically...you're reading this crap.

Once upon a time, teams like the Cowboys, Dolphins and Jets were expansion teams as well, all making it to the Superb Owl early on in their history. There are winner and loser franchises throughout the system. Heck, look at the Cardinals, a team of extreme longevity in the NFL that is second from the bottom in win percentage.

Teams founded throughout the decades have risen or fallen based on much more than advantages and disadvantages in their first season team makeup. Sure, the playing field was leveled just a bit for the Jags and Panthers, but that was a very short-lived evening as most of the "evening" players were at the twilights of their careers.

All teams must win and lose on the field based on their performance. And there are so many franchises that just mightily suck. We aren't one of them.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
