one thing to remember is that Norwell didn’t get no playing time his rookie year until the end of the season. The coaching staff was too loyal to other players to give a more talented player the starting job.

 

rivera was the coach then and still is now. I have a feeling he will start Amini over Mahon despite Mahon out playing him.

 

ironically if I remember correctly Amini was the LG when Norwell was a rookie and it was Norwell who beat Amini for the job.

The only way Norwell got any PT  was amini got hurt then the other jag RR replaced him with got hurt.  Norwell  finally  got PT due to injuries RR is loyal to a fault and that’s not a good thing in these cases

Yeah I thought so. Thing is Rivera has always been this way. So was John Fox. Always picking experience first.

Rivera isn't gonna hand the starting job to the UDFA, he's gonna make him earn it. Hopefully more reps with the 1s.
