with d,williams and cokrell going down with season ending injuries are weakest spots are even weaker , we need to make some moves via free agent or trade because if we think were going to just have another undfa become the next andrew norwell we are in for a big disappointment. Its only the forst week and we lost 2 players its a long season and we have very little depth and there will be more injuries , we will see how hurney handles this , we can trade for a lineman and we can get a free agent cb . not looking good guys

D Will you might have a point.. If Moton becomes what we thought he was when he was drafted.. Than that position isn't looking to weak.. This Cockrell thing is becoming a chicken little situation.. I know everybody had him inked in as a starter.. But if camp reports are true.. He wasn't getting starter reps or even backup reps.. Ppl might have to chill before jumping off a cliff.. Unless you ppl are reading different camp reports.. The reps are going to Seymore, Donte, Doss, Capt, and Corn..

If losing a RT and role playing CB is creating this much a concern then this team wasn't very good to begin with. I know many don't follow the NFL closely outside of the Panthers but to keep things in perspective, there was a team that lost their starting All Pro LT, starting RB, starting defensive signal calling MLB, starting CB (1/2 year), special teams captain, place kicker and starting QB for the season last year and still went on to win the SB. It's unfortunate what has happened to this team the last few days, but the sky is not falling. As mentioned, people have wanted to see more Moton and now he gets his chance.

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
