I am pissed about us giving away draft picks.

The only way to be good and STAY good is to draft well, and often.

The guy is only 24 years old. He shows promise of being above average and can be so for a lot more years. Its as good or better than getting a rookie out of the draft. At least we know he can play the game at this level.

I'd trade 4th and 5th round picks all day for relatively young players that have proven they are capable NFL starters.

We have an owner that will not step in and stop the foolishness that is going on in our FO.

I remember the beginning of the season people were screaming for DT trades, we'll we did it and now everyone is acting like we are throwing away next years draft. We are fine, the guys upstairs know what they are doing more than we do.

On a side note, drafting a player isn't any kind of guarantee that you'll get a good one.

At least with a trade, you can get someone that has some experience at the pro level and some realtime game tape that can show potential to good evaluators. And let's face it, our team has better luck with picking up vets than drafting new talent.

Tank and Leonard may do more to shore up the DT position than drafting could, both have some upside to them. And DT is very much a veteran-intensive position where a rookie might be quickly intimidated.

That being said, there is only so much future that one can trade away without over-leveraging yourself completely.
