I see all these threads about Earl Thomas.    Can we just get Eric Reid who is sitting at home on the couch?

No trade neccessary...  1 year deal.

I mean , he is at least 40% better than any Safety on our roster right now.   He is only 26.

This is just stupid stupid he is sitting at home, unless he has some crazy contract demands...

Been praying for this move all off season. I think signing Reid would put us a notch above any NFC South team. Right their with Minnesota & philly. Makes to much sense, young , talented, cheap, with something the prove. Take that all day.

Nope.  Just blackballed thanks to collusion.

There are stipulations of which if a team wants to sign him he has to abide by what that teams wants and don't want and that is unwanted that will embarrass the teams reputation. If the team will not condone the kneeling so be it and he has no choice to abide or not get signed. Either you follow what is in the contract or stay at home with your dog and watch t.v.

What ? You guys don’t even have a OL . With or without him y’all still wouldn’t be a top 5 team in the NFC. Eagles, Vikings, Falcons, Saints, Rams in no particular order .

Still would be 3rd best in NFCs .. no OL or DBs.

We still run the South! We’ve done more with less before, multiple times actually. If we tighten up the back end & avoid more online injuries where be just fine.

I can't believe so may think the players are different than the general population in the USA. This protest by kneeling during the anthem is clearly divisive based on various reports and message board content. No team wants that sort of divisiveness in their locker room. It doesn't matter how good they were or how good anybody believes they are going forward,  their talent cannot overcome the negative impact on the TEAM.

It’s not about who’s better. It’s the fact that there are people blaming a brand new owner who has already done so much good in his short tenure, for something 32 GMs have control over.

Nobody is blaming Tepper for anything, just still feeling him out. Calm down. Stop jumping to conclusions.

There are literally comments saying “I thought he had the balls to make that signing but guess not.” How are you supposed to take that statement?

    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
    • Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well.  Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world?  Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
