It is a little early for this thread. But if we only win one more game this season. i would love for it to be in NE in december but who knows maybe steve smith will punch Jake like he did Lucas last year and knock some sense into him. I know this thread is phail but o's wells:spam:

we struggled to beat two of the worst teams in the NFL...that is all we have done. Going up against the best coach in the NFL.....is not something to look forward to based on what the dynamic trio of Jake/Fox/Davidson are doing this year.

the Panthers didn't struggle against the Bucs. the score was closer than the game by a longshot

thanks to Jake and special teams.....Carolina did struggle to win that game. If the Panthers attempt more than 1 pass on that final drive....it could have easily been an L.

There's still Patriot hate? Did the globe reverse to five years ago? The Pats haven't been the enemy in a while now. Sort of like how the Red Sox have out paced the Yankees as the most hated (and liked) team in MLB.

I think beating the Saints in New Orleans will save some face. Here? Not so much, they won't even be using starters. Revenge against the Cards and Giants? You bet. Yes I want us to beat NE, but it no longer has the feel it once did.

so minus two plays the panthers dominated

yeah im alright with that

not arguing that....but the actual team struggled to beat the Bucs. With less than 2 mintues in the game against the pathetic Bucs....Carolina was not winning. So, yeah...I am right w/ that.

doesn't matter how awesome your RBs are playing or D...it is a team sport. There isn't a team w/ a bigger liability than Jake and our special teams in the league. It cost us games already we could have won and been much more competitive in...and they were close to costing this team another win.

Isn't this the first time we're facing NE since the 2004 Super Bowl?

No, we beat them in week 2 of 2005.

Seriously, if anyone thinks we have even a remote chance of beating the patriots then you need to go see a doctor now because you are nuts. The pats will likely do to us what they did to the Titans. The score might even be worse.

    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
