This is probably the biggest issues. Tepper is playing Franchise Mode and went from rookie to all-pro but he left the default sliders on.

It definitely wasn't an inspiring effort, and it was downright ugly to watch offensively, but with the injury stuff, all i kept thinking was, "look what the Eagles did last year..." We got the win, and that's all that matters.

Exactly. We can piss on the Cowboys all we want in jest, but they are a pretty good team and played their hearts out yesterday. They gave us all we could handle and even successfully capitalized on Williams's injury by sending a poo ton of rushers after he was carted off. Hats off to them and don't be surprised if they challenge for their division and/or a wild card.

Like OP pointed out, good teams find ways to win games like yesterday's. I'm not worried.
