From the stands, Donte Jackson looked like the best player on the field yesterday

I have to be honest. I never thought Jackson would be that good. I didn’t like the pick. I see players get drafted all the time because they put up good combine numbers and I thought Jackson was another one of those guys.

I hope I get proven wrong. He did well yesterday, he wasn’t perfect and had a bad penalty but other than that I think he was impressive.

was it a fluke though? Dallas doesn’t have a good WR Corp  and is a run first team. Next week will be interesting, especially if he lines up against Julio Jones.

was it me or did Captain Munnerlyn look bad? Maybe it was players finding holes in the zone but it seemed like he was giving up easy catches left and right. I know Beasley is a good Slot WR but he absolutely trashed Captain.

If Short is getting pressure and Luke is making a ton of tackles, that means Poe is doing well.

Poe will never light up the stat sheet with sacks, but that's irrelevant.  When we see KK get 2, best believe a good bit of credit for those belongs to Poe, who -- by occupying 2 OLmen -- allows KK, or Luke, or Shaq, to shoot the gaps he (Poe) has created.  And this is just talking about our pass rush.  Against the inside running game, he's a wall.

I said yesterday that Captain was constantly out of position, trailing like a puppy dog on man coverage, and guarding empty spaces in zone.  I doubt any WR in the league is better at finding and occupying a hole in the zone better than Munnerlyn.

He always seems to suck up to RR or Cam on the sidelines, though, and unabashedly finds a mike to give an interview or comment, after the game.  Unless they bring Elder along faster, as a slot defender replacement, Munnerlyn will cost us a game.  Watch Matty concentrate on him this week.

Yes the Cowboys WRe are underwhelming

Worley would've found a way to give up 100 yards and 2 TDs though.

Jackson made several key tackles, played sound coverage and more importantly he could play close to the line without us worrying about him getting beat.

His closing speed was insane, he was laying wood out there, they were targeting him all game and constantly made the play.

His penalties were things they wouldn't call on him if he was a third year player.

Also I appreciate a guy who so obviously never stops talking poo when he's on the field.

Shake them dreads, Donte

I couldn't attend on Sunday but I'm glad to hear this.
