Christian McCaffrey on record-setting pace ... as a receiver

what's the most catches and rec yards for a rb through first 18 games.

 

I just looked and hes 5th among running backs in YPG this season

Just put the man in the slot full time, and use him here and there in the backfield. He is a better wideout than he is a RB. That's not bashing him, but instead highlighting what he's great at

He’s very effective as a receiving back coming out of the backfield a la faulk or barber Leave him at halfback

Quit nitpicking irrelevant stats of a vital and productive cog in the Panthers' machine.  Try to enjoy that we've got him.  You are not a GM, and you had no say in the draft process.  He is what they thought he was.

I was referring to his career. Why do you think they give him more receptions than carries, is it bcause he is more effective as a receiver? 

That 4.8 YPC would come down if he was actually forced to run 20+ times a game like any RB. 

Out of 18 games he only had 6 games where he led in rushing instead of receiving.

The NFL has changed, as it’s been pointed out. A lot more committees, catching running backs etc. there are very few that do 20 carries or more for one back any more— the ones that do usually don’t last long. 

CMac could very well get 15 carries and 8 receptions instead of the opposite and I would bet his YPC would stay the same.

Did you see the ATL's modern offense where the RB rushed for over 100yds while Matty Ice threw for couple of hundred yards?

P.S. He hasn't rushed for 100yds but he does have several games w/ 100 yds+ receiving.

He had a higher ypc in college than. Saquon Barkley If he gets 15 carrries per game and 8-10 catches he could get around 20000 yards from scrimmage

I’m not sure what you are arguing? Not sure if you know what you are arguing about? 

The point is Christian is getting 20-25 touches a game but instead of feeding fantasy fanatics or square minded weirdos  numbers as 20-25 carries, he’s getting 100+ yards per game total and making a huge impact on offensive efficiency.

it doesn’t matter to a win or an offensive that should have won inspite of the defense if it’s 20-25 carries or 25 combined touches that get the job done.

the best analytic is to win.

 Atlanta gave Coleman twice the carries we gave CMAC...you keep bringing up last year but that was a different oc and with Stewart eating a lot of carries. Almost every rb is going to need at least 15+ carries to eclipse 100 yds...he's been running very well as well as catching. Of all the problems or things the Panthers need to work on Mcaffery and his role sure as hell isnt one that's keeping us from winning.

He's obviously a playmaker but I hope we don't continue to force feed him. That's what it looks like to me so far. Though I know we've had some issue with our WR's and CMC is a great option to throw to. I just think it's going to say a lot about the rest of the offense if don't balance out how we use him. Hopefully some more DJ and Samuel will fix that.

Did you see our offense just about come back and beat them after our ugly defense folded?

how does our defense folding have anything to do with the efficiency our offense is showing?

do you even watch football?

i mean had DJ caught that pass in end zone and we went to OT, and some how pulled off a win, are you making the same argument?
