Quarterbacks tend to be known for one of three things: brains, brawn or balls. They can have varying degrees of all three but one tends to stand out more than the others.

I think for Mayfield, like it was for our old buddy Jake Delhomme, it's probably gonna be balls.

Took a lot of balls when they went to Ohio St last year.   I am a buckeye fan but damn that was ballsy.

I haven't checked the news this morning. Is the city still standing?

LMAO I was thinking the same thing. I thought damn that place going to be on fire last night. Man it showed two dudes last night hugging and about to kiss on TV. I was like oh poo Cleveland fixing to get wild!

The first thing I noticed about Mayfield's passes was the zip, not to mention the accuracy.  That 2nd or 3rd TD was pin point accurate.

What I like about him is he is a cocky confident player and I think his teams feel it when he comes in.   Taylor doesn't give off that vibe.

He sees the opening before it happens. He actually reminds me of Brett Favre with the throws he makes and Drew Brees in the fact that he is the size of a Goblin at Gringotz compared to most players; mind you he also has the look of an Irish Brit.

the Browns have played 3 games with 3 different outcomes in a row; the odds of this happening are extremely low. They could easily be 3-0 or 0-3 which just goes to show how tight the NFL is anymore.

Hadn't thought of that. It's kind of amusing.

And in reverse of the typical order: they went tie - loss - win.

I'd like to believe he's just engaging in coachspeak, though I really don't see the point. the decision is an obvious one. Pretty much everybody. He'd have to be a real dumbass to fall back now.

Granted, I can accept that Hue has that kind of potential, but I'd like to think he'll be smart this time.

I know full well that any NFL coach knows a helluva lot more about football than i

You’re not giving Cleveland enough credit. NO was lucky to play them with Taylor. Just wait till that defensive line gets to line up against our OL...

They're gonna eat!

I wasn't giving anybody credit. I was giving our resident Saints fan s--t.

Me too, but that's never the issue.

Jackson doesn't have to have more football smarts than me or you. Lord knows his job would be easier if all he had to do was be smarter than fans.

His real job is to be smarter than guys like John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Andy Reid and Bill Belichick. That's not so easy.

Evidently I hit submit in the middle of typing. What I was trying to say is that I know full well that any NFL coach knows a lot more about football than I ever will bit it's baffli g how many mind numbingly dumb decisions get made. Decisions that you really don't even have to know much about football to know that they're terrible decisions.

this, man has too much respect for his players to bench them in front of the media before doing it face to face.
