Cam’s late “personal foul” for taunting

There's no throwing motion. As Cam said in response to a question about it, the Cinci DE is trying to knock the ball out of his hand. The motion is him pulling the ball away from the DE's insistent attempts to knock it out of his hand. So Cam says, "fug it" and hands it to him. Shouldn't have been flagged.

Yeah just what I thought he sat the ball on the defender and got flagged which is stupid.

A ticky tack penalty that is only called on certain occasions.

Typically, handing a ball or tossing a ball, or anything like that, towards an opposing player is usually a flag. Which is strange, because I can think of plenty of more appropriate taunting penalties lol. It is ticky tack, but not on certain occasions. It's a flag every time.

Not sure where Igo is going with this though lol. He certainly wanted to throw it at him. But he didn't try to. Definitely handed it to him.

The only reason that flag was thrown was because they wanted to give Cincy a chance. We have had some bs calls against us the last couple weeks. Just like that damn phantom PI against Jackson. These refs right now need to quit with the sh*t, I'm just glad we haven't had any calls like what Clay Matthews has been getting.

I am surprised we do not have some numbnuts on here who are screaming that he was right to throw the ball at the Bengal to "send a message."  Torrey Smith, now this.  Honor code.  These are the guys who would decapitate their GI Joes if they found them in their sister's room with the Barbies.  The code!

There is no disputing that it was a mistake. He learned his lesson, the team moves on.

The fact that this is a trending thread, and there are not more threads discussing how well Cam Newton has been playing is indicative of the trash still stinking up our fanbase.

It was a tacky call because of the group of people. But you really need context to understand the whole situation.

I'm as big of a Cam fan as their is, but that's a flag just about every time for taunting. I was watching the Jets and Browns game and after an crucial incompletion a Jets player handed the ball to Jarvis Landry and drew a flag and kept their drive going.

I understand it's an emotional game but usually the teams who are best at keeping their cool have the best success.

Cam is a bad leader. A real leader wouldn't do that. I question Kuechly's commitment too...how can you get dehydrated and leave the game when you are the captain of the defense?!!!? Last week with the missed tackles and this week with the poor diet choices. Seriously wish we had some leadership. Also, did ya'll see that one punt by palardy...had like 4.97 seconds of hangtime? That is pure selfishness on his part...making his teammates wait like that. Cut they're azzes now! Bring in real leaders like Kapernick and the GOAT safety of all time ERIC REID.

Here you go. Yeah, he clearly doesn't make a throwing motion at all right?

After making the throwing motion, he bends down, and sets it on the DL's chest. Probably was trying to throw it the ref at first. Really wish we had the reverse angle.
