The Saints have taught me the cap is an illusion, and numbers can be made to say whatever you want.

Yes when it is the off season and you have time to figure out and restructure deals and such. Not so much with a few hours at the deadline.

The man literally told everyone he was going to take a different approach and wouldn’t protest during the Anthem after he was signed.

NFL player Eric Reid told reporters Monday that he is still considering ways to protest racial injustices as he returns to the league as a member of the Carolina Panthers.

"I said that I would be considering other ways (to protest). And I'm still considering," said Reid, who was one of the first NFL players to kneel during the national anthem in protest of racial injustices.

"I don't think it will be in the form of protesting during the anthem," he added at the time, according to The Washington Post.

I think I'll stick with my original point.  He never said he wouldn't.  Both the owner and coach have gone on record stating they either don't mind or fully support it.  I don't see it being an issue at all.  Reid could not come back.  But it won't be because of kneeling.

He’s a liar. I dont care if he chooses to protest or not. I mean the NFL doesn’t care about it anymore. Its old news. Irrelevant.

I was a huge fan of Reid at LSU. Wanted him badly. Would love to have him back as a football player next season but i dont think its going to happen. He created a distraction vs Philly. Hes on thin ice and like i said earlier, players seem to dislike him. Many guys have come out and blame him for the situation and contracts.

You have yet to show a single thing he lied on.  I don't really want to get into an off topic back and forth in this thread.  So I'll leave it at that.

I think we made the right choice to stand pat. Sounds like the asking price for the guys we would have actually wanted was too high. Even just a third for Dante Fowler would have been too much. Clinton-Dix seems like a steal on paper, by why would the Packers jettison a good young player when the overall secondary is poo? They chose not to resign him for a reason and took what they could get. There really weren't that many guys available who fit our scheme at positions of need, and the asking was too high for the ones who were.
