Unbelievable come back from Man U.  Amazing!  And yes, it hit his arm that’s a penalty.  Doing that without Pogba on the PSG field is extremely impressive.  That manager should be extended.

The funny part is Ole does nothing different from Mourinho.  He parks the bus and counterattacks.  PSG lost this game...  they played right into United trap.  If you want to beat United, you need to let them come forward and hit them with counters. United invites other teams to come forward and they hit them with counters.  In order to beat United, you need to play their game.  Literally what everyone did against Mourinho...  Ole comes in, runs the same design and everyone shits the bed...

It’s not even close to the same in regards to the way we counter.

Ole has Pogba and the midfielders playing box to box, something that Mou never did.

There is a difference between team defending with numbers behind the ball and then countering with 5, 6, and sometimes 7 players and obviously sitting back in a 4-3-3 with no intent to let the three midfielders play in the attacking third.

United will always play a counter attack style as long as we have Rashford and Martial but insinuating that every counter attack style is Mou’s park the bus formation is illogical.

We invite pressure and when possession is turned over we counter with numbers, much more numbers than Mou ever countered with.

The difference between Mourinho and Ole, the players actually give effort under Ole.  They quit under Mourinho.  The game plan is the same, the effort is better.

Just because neither coach utilizes a possession based game doesn't mean they coach the same.

They both use the counter attack as their primary form of offense but like I mentioned, Ole lets the midfield play box to box which is why we are winning games 3-2 rather than losing them 1-0.

And yes the effort is obviously better.

Well, at least I do not have to worry about which QF matches TNT will determine that I am worthy enough to see.  I can only imagine the response if a network forced fans to pay for the first two rounds of the NBA, MLB, or NFL playoffs.

Embarrassing season for Bayern and garbage premiere from TNT

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off

Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
