I hope that this thursday game has finally shown everyone that while Clark has been a serviceable backup, he cannot start. As awful as Kalil is, he is still a better LT than Clark. We need him back playing well if we are going to have a chance at beating the Saints.

 

Smith on the other hand, I don't really believe he adds much value to our offense. He can't burn people anymore so hes just kinda like a worse version of funchess.

Honest question - what about Kalil's performance in similar situations gives confidence that he would have done any better?

Kalil is younger and more athletic. Clark has played well as a backup but we need to start the better player. Matt has had some bad games but hes also had some good games. Clark is consistently giving up pressure, only Cam's godlike pocket skills keep him out of harms way.
