A Helpful Poll: Fire Rivera Now, At The End Of The Season, Or Retain Him?

Let Ron finish out the season here. He deserves that much. After the final whistle of Week 17, please tell him thanks for everything but it’s time to move on

Firing him now satisfies a lot of message board folks but the risks far outweigh the upside.

 

1.  Interim guy promoted knows his days are numbered. Could be a bad situation and cause I’ll feelings with the players. 

2.  Players are probably still in Ron’s corner and would see the mid season move as a slap n the face   

3. Many will take this as a new owner meddling and overreacting.  Could negatively impact the search.   

4.  It’s very reactionary and reeks of desperation.  

I don’t see an upside in doing it now. No matter whT I think it’s going to be an interesting offseason.

Packers just got beat by a trash Cardinals team at home. That was way more embarrassing than losing to a division rival on the road. Not saying the Panthers are doing that much better, but what happened to the packers today was way more embarrassing

I don’t agree. Four straight terrible losses is humiliating and to a pretty bad Tampa no less. The fall from 6-2 to 6-6 is horrendous.

There is so much rebuilding to be done it needs to start now. Cam deserves a top 10 OL. He shouldn’t have to run for his life and get killed half the game while making a pass. Our once great defense shouldn’t be getting gashed every 3 plays.

We are in danger of being bottom dwellers again.

Can him, along with Washington, now and closely look at Scott Turner the next 4 games. Would still love to see Norv HC and Scott OC since we have nothing to lose. Also wouldn't mind Luke calling the plays on defense

In danger? Losing 8 in a row to end the season sounds like king of the bottom dwellers to me

The risk of firing Ron now means that whoever is the interim may do well enough to be hired full time. It's happened with other teams before and that usually doesn't end well.

Ron has a proven track record of mediocrity. This team seems on the decline and I think the whole staff needs a change. I hope Tepper wants to make his mark and not just keep doing the same thing and expect different results.
