I know exactly how it works.

Just going by what you have posted so far....

you don’t have a clue how June 1 cuts work, how dead cap is dispersed, guarantees for injury, and sunk cost. What part should we take seriously? The cut and paste to make it harder to read than OTC or Sportrac?

I know that the dead cap is dispersed over the following two seasons. The contract is still on the books during the main part of free agency.

The one guy was a dick about it when he explained it but you can "Designate" a guy a June 1st cut the first day of FA if you want to, it just doesn't hit the books that way until June 1st from what I understand.

Which is silly, but seems to be the way it works.

Also, I would rather do that and then swing Moton to LT and Re-sign Williams. He can get stupid money on the open market for sure, but he is coming off a significant injury and could be willing to take a decent short term "prove it" deal to see if he's worth a 4 year investment moving forward.

Rather have those guys on the roster over Kalil.

Hell, rather have Clark on the roster over Kalil.

That's what I said it my comments. They can cut him, but the money they would save isn't freed up until June 1st.

You lost me at re-signing Chris Clark and letting Darryl Williams go.

I literally came here to post the above ^^^ Williams will be much less expensive given the injury and is MUCH better than Clark, I'd rather see Kalil in the cuts section, and just eat the hit, as I think this is one of the 1st years coming up where it's manageable. Keep Clark as a back up, Moton moves to LT, and Williams anchors the RT, we're solid with VanRoten / Larsen / Turner -- but I'd like to see OL brought in via the draft at some point for the interior.

There is only ONE reason to designate someone and that is to use the space immediately. That’s why you only get one a year. Otherwise, why would you need to?

I’ll say it in a more tender version for you next time Oprah.
